Movies
If you are wanting to go to the theater to catch a movie I strongly recommend AVPR. If you have not seen part 1 its okay. If you would rather stay at home Saw4 just came out but you need to have seen part 1-3. One movie that has been out fo a little while is Captivity it is a great scary movie. I am going to mostly recommend and/or discuss scary movies because they are my favorite kind of movies. Keep coming every Monday to see more reviews. Another new movie on dvd is Joshua
Sam Rockwell and Vera Farmiga star in director George Ratliff's uncomfortable psychological thriller Joshua, as Brad and Abby Cairn, an affluent young stockbroker and his wife, raising children in New York City. Their firstborn, the nine-year-old Joshua (Jacob Kogan) is a frighteningly intelligent child - to such a degree that he thinks and acts decades ahead of his age. Nearly always clad in formal wear and demonstrating limitless brilliance as a pianist - with a marked predilection for "dissonant" classical pieces - Joshua gravitates toward his gay aesthete uncle (Dallas Roberts) as a close friend, but distances himself from his immediate kith - particularly when Abby brings a newborn baby sister home from the hospital and unwisely alienates the young tyke. As the days pass, one at a time, the mood at the house regresses from healthy and happy to strange, unsettled and disorienting; meanwhile, bizarre events transpire. As the baby's whines drive an already strained Abby to the point of a nervous breakdown, Joshua devolves from eccentric to downright sociopathic behavior, discarding all of his toys, disemboweling a stuffed animal, and killing off pets. One at a time, family members also begin to suffer tragic fates - but are they Joshua's fevered and psychotic doings or merely the result of happenstance? ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
T.V. Shows
As for TV Rob and Big series 3 just started on jan. 8 and so did The Life of Ryan on MTV. There is a new season of Making the Band and the Gauntlet coming on.
Games
I strongly recommend Skate for PS3 or Xbox 360. Of course I am a big fan of all of the Guitar Hero and definetly rockband, these games are for just about every system if you have never played Guitar Hero or Rockband you should definetly try them. One game I just recently discovered for PS2 is God of War 1 & 2, these are skillful challenging games that everyone should atleast try.
New & Soon
Some new movies that have just came out in theater or are close to coming out are One missed call ( already out ), Untraceable ( Jan. 25 ), Cloverfield ( Jan. 18 ), and The Eye ( not sure of release date ).New is First Sunday
In this hilarious comedy, Durell (Ice Cue) and LeeJohn (Tracy Morgan)) are best friends and bumbling petty criminals. When told they have one week to pay a $17,000 debt or Durell will lose his son, they come up with a desperate scheme to rob their neighborhood church. Instead, they end up spending the night in the presence of the Lord and are forced to deal with much more than they bargained for.
The all-star cast also includes Katt Williams as Rickey, the flamboyant church choir-director, Chi McBride as the Pastor, Malinda Williams as his outspoken daughter and Regina Hall as the mother of Durell's son.
